Focus of the Next Version: User Interface Design

UX DesignEphesoft User Interface was designed 4 years ago and we believe it is time for an update. We are working on new ways to make our business application more productive while maintaining its trademark ease of use. We have defined 4 goals:

  • Efficiency
  • Clean Looking
  • “Sexy”
  • Customizable

Efficiency is our biggest focus since we are, after all, a business application designed to save time, reduce labor-intensive data entry tasks, and reduce errors. That’s how we provide the best value. At the same time though, we cannot make the software too complex. We have to make it customizable so we can adapt to clients around the world and of course, look good while doing it!

We have analyzed many design guidelines… here is a good article on the topic:

Interestingly, we have found inspirations from iOS7 as well as some cool mobile applications and libraries that come with the Google Web Toolkit. I am very excited about the new user interface. It will take us about a year to put all the things we are thinking about in place but our clients should start to see the new features as early as Version 3.2.

Stay tuned and let us know if you have any ideas to make the Ephesoft User Interface Efficient, Clean Looking, “Sexy” and Customizable.
