Toolkit Enables Custom Smart Capture® Development for Android and iOS devices
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., January 27, 2015 – Ephesoft Inc., creators of the industry-leading Smart Capture® advanced document capture platform, today announced the immediate availability of the Transact Mobile Software Developers Kit. The SDK empowers Ephesoft Transact users to produce specialized, mobile applications for image enhancement, document recognition and data extraction.
“The Ephesoft platform is designed for organizations that want a custom solution without protracted project implementation timelines,” explains Ike Kavas, Ephesoft Chief Technology Officer. “With the Transact Mobile SDK, developers can embed advanced mobile capture capabilities into existing workflow, ERP, CRM and other document and data-driven programs.”
The SDK includes: page corner detection, image cropping and enhancement filters, OCR, and document classification and extraction capabilities – all customizable features that can be integrated into Android and iOS applications.
“Utilizing Transact Mobile SDK, we were able to quickly create a customized solution that is feature rich,” commented Pat Myers, Executive Vice President with Zia Consulting. “We demonstrated this solution at our annual summit last week and with the outstanding response it received, we expect to see even more demand for mobile capture from our clients.”
The SDK follows Ephesoft’s October, 2014 release of SnapDoc mobile applications for Android and iOS devices. The Android version can be downloaded at Google Play, and the iOS application is available on the iTunes store. The SDK and client apps will be demonstrated at Ephesoft’s INNOVATE Conference, March 15-18 in Dana Point, CA.
“SnapDoc and the Transact Mobile SDK build upon our legacy of bringing innovation to the intelligent document recognition market,” said Kavas. “From the first completely browser-based capture platform, to the industry’s only Web Service APIs and native Linux product, we are delivering technology solutions that exceed customer expectations.”
