Position Overview:
Ideal candidates are technical sales people or skilled sales engineers with a strong desire to move into enterprise software sales. Sales Managers must be resourceful, self-motivated and entrepreneurial-minded to work from their own home office for a California-based firm. This person will work with our existing resellers and recruit new ones in their assigned territory. Candidate will have a successful track record as a technical sales person or software sales engineer who has many relationships and vast experience selling and prospecting opportunities within both the Commercial sectors. The successful candidate will have extensive experience selling enterprise software solutions and has a passion for positioning our vision and strategy around open source solutions. In this role, you will respond to complex challenges and thrive in a demanding, results-driven environment. You must be a skilled persuader and negotiator who knows when and how to close a deal. You must like to acquire new knowledge and work with many different types of tasks.


  • Achieve sales revenue targets
  • Manage our existing resellers by assisting them with proposals, demonstrations, and advice to help grow their sales with us
  • Recruit new resellers to expand our selling network
  • Report on sales activity and forecasts to senior sales management
  • Must often act as your own Sales Engineer so strong familiarity with the product is essential
  • Must be willing to be hands-on and constantly learn
  • Assist with the negotiation and closing of complex enterprise software contracts with global partners, customers and government departments
  • Train partners to sell the value of Ephesoft and solution selling to help them be more successful
  • Support trade shows and serve as the focal point for Ephesoft in the assigned region

Required experience:

  • Technical Sales: 3 years
  • Strong hunting skills for new federal business based on specific account coverage
  • Must be a self-starter and driven with a desire to exceed expectations
  • Ability to multi-task but stay focused on closing key growth targets
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Prior experience with the Defense Agency territory required
  • Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain a clearance (active clearance is desired)
  • Experience and selling software (ECM, Document Capture, Workflow) and services to the Federal Government, specifically federal market sector programs
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
